Your snack diary
Rate your snacks.
Share with friends.
Photograph a snack, save it, rate it 1 to 10 now or whenever you're ready. Snackofatz is your own snack diary first, and a shared one with the friends whose taste you actually care about.
Free. Android for now, iOS is coming.
How it works
Faster than eating it.
If logging a snack takes longer than eating it, the design has failed. So the whole loop is three steps, and only the first two are required.
Capture
Point the camera at the snack. A barcode fills in name and brand on its own. No barcode? Type the name once and it's in the database for good.
Save
That's it. Every capture is a diary entry, with or without a score. Tags, a note, where you bought it: all optional, all later if you like.
Rate, now or later
One score from 1 to 10. Tonight, tomorrow, or after the third bag. Unrated entries wait quietly in your diary until you get to them.
Friends, not strangers
A feed of people whose taste you actually care about.
Snackofatz is not a review site chasing a global average. Your entries go to your friends. Strangers only ever see averages, never your diary.
- Friends by default. Any single entry can be made private with one tap, right when you save it.
- Add friends by link or QR code. Sharing a bag next to each other is the whole point: scan, done, compare.
- See what they're trying right now. A friend's fresh log is an invitation to react, and one tap to rate the same snack yourself.
Built for real snacking
The bakery Brezel counts too.
No barcode needed
Market stall, bakery, homemade: type the name, attach the place. Snackofatz remembers Bäckerei Müller even though no global database ever will.
Taste changes. So does your score.
Rate the same snack again and the old score stays: 7 in March, 9 now. Recipes change, you change, the diary keeps track.
Tags, not homework
No sub-scores for taste, texture and value. A quick tag says "too sweet" without turning a snack into a spreadsheet.
